Mohan Batas Foundation is an independent, non-profit, non-political organization. It was founded in 2020 to protect children and the environment. It is incorporated in Tanahun District and is a member of the Social Welfare Council. It is committed to improving inclusiveness and access to quality education for children. In rural Nepal, acute poverty is a barrier to obtaining a basic education. Although basic education is free, there is a fee to enroll. However, unless the stakeholders conducted an enrollment campaign, poor parents would not send their children to school. Children require bags, stationery, and uniforms, as well as a fee for the examination. As a result, the Mohan Batas Foundation promotes schooling for ultra-poor children in order to ensure their right to an education. Another reason for low learning achievement is a lack of infrastructure. The traditional teaching and learning process, as well as a lack of political commitment and governance, are major impediments in our educational system.
As a result, the organization prioritizes child-friendly classrooms, furniture, the availability of drinking water, proper sanitation, and the use of technology in order to improve teaching and learning. The organization promotes youth participation by introducing them to their rights and responsibilities, as well as increasing their skill and knowledge through extracurricular activities at school.
Environmental protection and waste management are two other major thematic concerns. To reduce the trend of exporting foreign aid, the organization prioritizes local resources. We have local products and strong relationships with stakeholders, which allows us to tap into local resources, volunteers, and fundraising.
